"The Essential Painters of Linkedism" is a fascinating exhibition organized at the Galleria Avanti Lettera Giudecca Veneto, from May 9 to November 22, 2026. The Linkedism art movement began in Venice in 2004 and originated in New Zealand. This contemporary art movement focuses on authentic, non-commercial collaboration and connection. Artists share a commitment not to sell their works, but to lend them, for a limited or long-term period, to non-profit organizations such as museums or cultural institutions. Linkedism rejects "Big Tech", "Big Food", "Big AI", and of course also "Big Art" and other neoliberal structures that are rapidly destroying true democracy, real social structures, nature, and the earth, increasing poverty and social inequality. The Linkedism artists, Linkedist painters, are "linked" to each other through the participatory social cooperative network Palkbook®, of which they are equal co-owners. This non-commercial, "truly social" network is open source and exists by and for real people, not bots, robots, corporations, and/or commercial purposes. Their participation at the Venice Biennale with a one-of-a-kind private exhibition aims to connect museums, auction houses, and art lovers with Linkedism and Palkbook®, with art that isn't for sale, with beauty and a true social connection that cannot be exchanged… with a countercurrent through art that focuses on the climate and humanity as a truly free individual. Furthermore, the Linkedism art movement explores the fascinating phenomenon whereby artists become part of their own artwork, merging the artists with their work. It emphasizes the intimate connection between artists and their creations, blurring the boundaries between the creator and the work itself. This art movement also explores how paintings and artworks communicate, interact, and form social networks, creating a dynamic network of artistic expression.
